Terms of Service

1. Purpose

These Terms of Service (hereinafter "ToS") define the terms and conditions for using the FinQuest mobile application and website (hereinafter "the Application"), published by [Company Name] (hereinafter "the Publisher").

Using the Application implies unconditional acceptance of these ToS. If you do not accept these conditions, you must not use the Application.

2. Definitions

• User: any individual accessing the Application and creating an account.
• Content: all lessons, quizzes, learning paths, texts, images, and elements made available by the Publisher.
• Account: the User's personal space, created upon registration.
• Coins: free virtual currency earned through Application use.
• Tokens: virtual currency that can be acquired through in-app purchases or earned for free, usable within the Application.
• Premium: paid subscription providing access to all Application features.

3. Access to the Application

The Application is available for free on the App Store (Apple) and Google Play Store. Some features are reserved for Users with a Premium subscription.

The Publisher reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the Application at any time, for maintenance, updates, or any other reason, without entitling the User to any compensation.

4. Registration and User Account

4.1. Registration Requirements

To create an Account, the User must be at least 18 years old. Registration can be completed via email, Google (OAuth), or Apple Sign-In.

The User agrees to provide accurate information and keep it up to date. Anonymous mode is available but limits access to certain features.

4.2. Account Security

The User is solely responsible for the confidentiality of their login credentials and all activity on their Account. In case of unauthorized use, the User must immediately notify the Publisher at support@finquest-app.com.

5. Service Description

5.1. Financial Education Service

FinQuest is a financial education application offering interactive, gamified lessons organized in progressive learning paths. The Application allows you to:

• Take short lessons (approximately 3 minutes) on financial topics
• Answer AI-generated quizzes
• Track your progress and earn rewards (XP, streaks)
• Participate in leaderboards and leagues
• Connect a bank account (optional feature) for educational spending analysis

5.2. Free and Premium Features

The free tier provides access to a limited number of lessons and features. The Premium subscription unlocks all learning paths, advanced features, and removes certain limitations. Pricing is detailed in the Terms of Sale.

5.3. Gamification

The Application includes gamification elements (experience points, daily streaks, leaderboards, leagues). These elements are purely virtual and have no monetary value. They cannot be exchanged, sold, or transferred outside the Application.

6. Virtual Currency (Coins and Tokens)

The Application uses two types of virtual currency:

• Coins: earned for free through Application use. They allow unlocking certain content or features.
• Tokens: can be acquired through in-app purchases or earned for free. They provide access to additional features (streak freeze, energy, etc.).

Coins and Tokens constitute a limited, personal, non-transferable, and revocable license to use a digital element within the Application. They are not electronic money within the meaning of applicable law, represent no real value, and cannot be converted into real money.

7. Disclaimer — Educational Content Only

The Content provided by FinQuest is exclusively educational and informational. It does not constitute:

• investment advice;
• personalized investment recommendations;
• an incentive to buy or sell financial instruments;
• financial, tax, or legal advisory services.

The User is solely responsible for their financial decisions. The Publisher cannot be held liable for any loss or damage resulting from decisions made based on the Application's Content. If in doubt, consult a licensed financial professional.

8. Bank Connection

The Application offers an optional bank account connection feature used strictly for educational purposes (spending analysis and categorization). The Publisher:

• does not have access to the User's banking credentials;
• cannot perform any operations on the bank account;
• uses data in read-only mode and processes it in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

9. User Obligations

The User agrees to:

• use the Application in accordance with its intended purpose and these ToS;
• not use the Application for illegal, fraudulent purposes or purposes that infringe on third-party rights;
• not attempt to bypass security measures or gain unauthorized access to the Publisher's systems;
• not reproduce, copy, sell, or exploit all or part of the Application or its Content without authorization;
• not use bots, scripts, or automated tools to interact with the Application;
• not create multiple accounts to circumvent the Application's rules.

10. Intellectual Property

All elements of the Application (texts, lessons, quizzes, images, logos, design, source code, databases, trademarks) are the exclusive property of the Publisher or are used under license and are protected by intellectual property law.

The User is granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to use the Application for strictly personal and non-commercial purposes.

11. Artificial Intelligence

The Application uses artificial intelligence technologies to generate personalized quizzes and adapt educational content. AI-generated content is reviewed but may contain inaccuracies. The Publisher does not guarantee the absolute accuracy of AI-generated content. Data transmitted to AI providers is processed in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

12. Limitation of Liability

The Publisher makes every effort to ensure the availability and proper functioning of the Application. However, the Application is provided "as is". The Publisher does not guarantee:

• that the Application will operate without interruption or errors;
• that results obtained will be accurate or reliable;
• that the Application will be compatible with all devices.

Under no circumstances shall the Publisher be liable for indirect damages (data loss, revenue loss, lost profits) resulting from the use or inability to use the Application.

13. Suspension and Termination

13.1. By the Publisher

The Publisher reserves the right to suspend or terminate a User's Account in case of violation of these ToS, fraudulent behavior, or infringement of third-party rights, without notice or compensation.

13.2. By the User

The User may delete their Account at any time from the Application settings or by contacting support@finquest-app.com. Deletion results in the permanent loss of all data, progress, Coins, and Tokens associated with the Account.

14. Modifications to the ToS

The Publisher reserves the right to modify these ToS at any time. Users will be notified of substantial changes by notification in the Application or by email. Continued use of the Application after notification constitutes acceptance of the new ToS.

15. Dispute Mediation

In accordance with French consumer protection law, in case of unresolved disputes with customer service, the User may use the following free mediation service:

16. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These ToS are governed by French law. In case of dispute and after an attempt at amicable resolution, the competent courts shall be those of the Publisher's registered office, subject to mandatory consumer protection provisions regarding jurisdiction.
